Student Supply Lists/Uniform and General Information

Please find the 2022/2023 supply lists for  grades K-8 now listed under the Summer Packets tab on our website.

All students in grades K to 8 will report to school on Wednesday, September 7th at 8am.

Our After School program will begin on Monday, September 12th.

We have made uniform changes but students may still wear last year’s uniform if it fits and is appropriate.

  • School shoes will remain the same for all students.  See elementary school shoes listed at White Cross Shoes in New Hyde Park for approved examples@ https://www.schoolshoe.com/
  • 8th grade students will have a shoe privilege. They may wear a Black Sneaker.  It must be completely black, including the laces, no other color.  No high tops, No platforms, No decorations. Nothing on it!! Of course, they may wear the school shoe if they prefer.

Important: Your email invitation to set up your tuition plan will be in your inbox shortly.  Or, you can log on to FACTS as you did last year to make your choices for the 2022/2023 school year. Please give this your prompt attention.

Updated ELA reading for Grades 5 – 8

Summer packets were uploaded on the school’s website but there is a minor change to
our ELA work and the reading list. Grades 5 -8 have 5 books assigned to them. Students should
choose 4 out of those 5 books to read. The required number of books to read is 4. Hopefully,
this will help ease the workload a bit and students are always encouraged to read as much as
they can for enjoyment.

Letter to Parents Regarding Test to Stay Preventive Strategy

Yesterday, a letter and test kits were sent home with students, as well as the protocols which the Diocese released January 24th for the Test to Stay Preventive Strategy and Updated COVID Quarantine Isolation Guidelines NYS Approach to COVID Quarantine Effective January 18, 2022.  Copies are attached for your further review.

All Saints Procession

We welcome all HFCA students to participate in this yearly tradition of the All Saints Procession.  Father Sean, the Sisters, and the school community would love to see all the students there dressed as one of your favorite Saints.
